And a Little Child Shall Lead Them

Posted by israeliteindeed on March 21, 2015

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. (Isa. 11:6)

Watch as 10 yr-old Miriam gives her edifying testimony of God’s love and faithfulness, in spite of the fact that Isis has made her homeless. Look at her thankful spirit and her contagious joy. See how readily she forgives her enemies without the slightest hesitation! Weep as she sings a song of love to her Savior, Who, motivated by love, came to restore her to righteousness. Pray that your faith and your heart can be as pure as hers if you are ever tested in the ultimate way!

  1. Joel Menges said

She is not thanking the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. She is thanking Allah. Listen to it. You will hear her say Allah. As sweet as this may appear this little girl is not a Christian.

    • You are incorrect, sir. Although Muslims refer to a false god when they say “Allah,” the word simply means “God.” Both Arabic Christians and Arabic Muslims refer to God as “Allah” in their language.

Consider that something like 85% of Americans say they believe in “God.” Yet we know that most of them do not mean the God of the Bible, but another “god” they have imagined.

The word “Allah” follows the same principle. A born again Arab may continue to use his word for God “Allah,” but by that word he will signify the God of the Bible–the God who we see in the face of Jesus Christ.

    • There are words, and there is the Spirit. I was overcome by the Spirit of God so evident upon this little girl. I am saddened that some will miss that because of letters and assumptions. Let us pray for understanding, so that we do not judge our brethren falsely.

      • Joel said

Pardon me. The Hebrew word for GOD is Elohim. Jehovah is Lord. God cares what you call Him.

      • Arabs are not Hebrews. Just like Germans are not Hebrews. Germans call God “Gott.” Arabs call God “Allah.” The generic word simply means “God.” This has been confirmed to me personally by an Arab Christian.

It is true that the “god” worshiped by Muslims is not the true God. When they say “Allah”/God, they refer to the false god of Islam. Just like false Christians refer to a false god when they say “God.”

There are real Christians who refer to the real God by the English word “God;” few English speaking people use the Hebrew word “Elohim.” Likewise, there are Arab Christians who refer to the real God by their Arab word “Allah,” not the Hebrew word Elohim.

God knows every language, and has never commanded that we use any particular one. He also knows what is meant by the words we say. He knows those who belong to Him.

We need to grow in our understanding so that we do not condemn the just. Those who have received His Spirit of adoption are permitted to call Him Father. If you can’t see this child is a follower of Jesus, when she specifically talks about Him and obeys His teachings, I don’t know how to help you.
