The Torah of Judaism

Posted by israeliteindeed on August 21, 2016

Introduction

There is a book by Michael Hoffman which every Christian should read in order to understand the religion of Judaism and how it relates to authentic Christianity. The book is Judaism Discovered: A Study of the Anti-Biblical Religion of Racism, Self-worship, Superstition and Deceit. It can be downloaded (here) to kindle for about $10.

Now some will be put off by the title alone because they imagine that Judaism is the adherence to the first 5 books of the Bible, commonly called the Torah by Christians. Such is not the case, and Michael Hoffman brilliantly unmasks this deception.

When we understand today’s Judaism, we will also understand the strong rebukes that Jesus leveled against the Pharisees of His day, for in those days, Judaism was in its infant stage. The teachings of the Pharisees had not yet been put into writing, although they were orally laid upon the shoulders of the common Jews as heavy burdens they could not bear, often nullifying the Word of God (Matt. 15:6; 23:4). These oral laws were later committed to writing; then many more were added over the centuries.  Very few know the true satanic nature of these writings, or how much they contradict the Old Testament, as well as the New.

I will be sharing bits and pieces of this book in future posts in order that we may better understand what modern Judaism is, so we can ascertain biblically what our relationship to it should be, and call others out of deception.

Today, I will begin with a few quotes showing that the “Torah” observed by Judaism today is not Old Testament Scripture, but rather the imaginative and sinful words of men which oppose the Scriptures.

All quotes are taken from this source: Hoffman, Michael. Judaism Discovered: A Study of the Anti-Biblical Religion of Racism, Self-Worship, Superstition and Deceit. Independent History and Research. Kindle Edition. Kindle locations will be noted below, with the abbreviation KL. I have added a few notations in red for clarity.

How does modern Judaism define Torah?

Torah. This word is wielded like a weapon. It is Judaism’s badge of authority. The rabbis boast that they have the Torah, they have mastered the Torah, they base their laws on the Torah and that they are Torah-true. Actually, these claims of theirs are a play on words, for the “Torah” they study, base their laws upon and truly uphold is the formerly Oral Traditions and Laws of the Pharisees which is known among them as the Torah SheBeal Peh. Consequently when the rabbis are telling the gentiles all about their relationship with the “Torah,” the gentiles imagine that the rabbis are referring to the Hebrew Covenant or Old Testament, known as the Torah SheBichtav.

Judaism is not true to the Torah SheBichtav, but rather to the Torah SheBeal Peh. If Christians and gentiles could keep this hester (concealed) distinction uppermost in their minds when dealing with rabbinic claims, demands and boasts of authority and knowledge, it would go a long way toward clearing up the spiritual and epistemological smog that is at the very heart of Judaism — its posturing as a Biblical, i.e. “Torah” faith. When faced with this claim on the Torah, one should always ask the claimant, which “Torah” is it to which you are loyal? According to Jesus Christ, one cannot be loyal to both (Mark 7:9). (KL 1714-1723)

Judaism’s Torah is NOT the Pentateuch–

Judaism did not exist before Christ. Before Him, there was the faith of the Israelites as it gradually decayed and was subverted by corrupt teachings such as were transmitted by the Pharisees and Sadducees….

This corruption was greatly escalated when a portion of the Israelites rejected the Messiah, Yashua (Joshua, i.e. Jesus), after which their leaders eventually made their way to Babylon, where the corrupt and reprobate, oral occult tradition of the elders was committed to writing and compiled as the Mishnah, comprising the first portion of the Talmud…

It is the pagan Talmud — consisting of abominable wickedness, prodigious filthiness and superlative vileness forged in the melting pot of rabbinic Babylon — which is the hermeneutic system of Orthodox Judaism. According to Robert Goldenberg, Professor of Judaic Studies at the State University of New York: “The Talmud was Torah. In a paradox that determined the history of Judaism, the Talmud was Oral Torah in written form, and as such it became the clearest statement the Jew could hear of God’s very word. (KL 1842-1871).

>Mishneh Torah [the Pharisaic additions to Scripture] and Shulchan Aruch [A compilation of the old Pharisaic laws and laws that were invented in later centuries] are binding on all Orthodox Judaics. (KL 2093-2094).

Judaism is not just Talmud, it is Talmud and Kabbalah [a collection of occult writings], as well as a mountain of successive texts. (KL 2102).

In Judaism, the Pentateuch is considered the least of the Hebrew writings, and in some cases has been banned.

The three levels of study in Judaism–The Bible is the lowest form. The next best is the Mishnah [the oral traditions of the Pharisees]. The highest is the Talmud (the Gemara). (KL 1737-1738).

Moses Mendelssohn published his German translation of the Bible. Rabbi Hirsch Jacob Janow imposed, in 1779, a ban on it: “The Chief Rabbi of this city has pronounced a ban on every Jew who will read the translation of the Pentateuch whose author is M. Mendelssohn of Berlin…” (KL 2125-2127).

The Mishnah, Talmud and Kabbaleh are considered the interpreters of the Pentateuch, and therefore are given greater authority even when the Pentateuch is given lipservice. Truly Jesus said that if the Jewish leaders had listened to Moses, they would have become Jesus’ followers. Instead, by their rebellion to and suppression of the Word of God, they made themselves children of the devil who would die in their sins.

The Torah-observant Leaders despise those Jews who reject the authority of the Talmud, and some have even praised Hitler for destroying some of these!

The rabbis want to murder and destroy the am ha’aretz, the Judaics who reject the Oral law/ Traditions of the Elders. We see this in their praise for their agent, Hitler, who they hail as an “avenging angel” who executed the Judaic “sinners” who had rejected the authority of the Talmud (the majority of the Judaics of Germany were “sinners” along these lines).

Another rabbi who has praised Hitler for cleansing the earth of Talmud doubting Judaics is the distinguished Israeli, Ovadia Yosef: “An eminent rabbi who heads Israel’s third biggest political party sparked an uproar in Israel for saying that 6 million Jews perished in the Holocaust because they were reincarnations of sinners.” (KL 629-653).

Modern Judaism has no relation to Old Testament faith or Christianity, except that it stands in opposition to both.

Judaism is not the religion of the Old Testament or of the God of Israel, but rather that Judaism’s gods consist of the Talmud, the Kabbalah and racial self-worship. We further assert that Christianity is the only religion that represents the Old Testament creed of Yahweh, being the continuation and prophetic fulfillment of the Old Testament in the Gospel of the Messiah of Israel. (KL 1832-1834).

The early Church recognized Christianity as having been founded by Israelites and representing the only true religion of the Bible. It is Christians who are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…” (I Peter 2:9). Judaism was not viewed as the repository of the spiritual truths or knowledge of the Old Testament, but as a post-Biblical, Babylonian cult totally at variance with Biblical Christianity. True Israelites could only be Christians, not followers of Judaism. The followers of Judaism are antiBiblical; they had to violate the Old Testament in order to reject Jesus, for the “Scriptures testify of me.” (KL 1922-1926).

A Judeo-Christian Amalgamation is Impossible

We hear the term “Judeo-Christian heritage” all the time, but such a thing is not possible and must be rejected. Judaism is opposed to both Old Testament faith and Christianity (which are one and the same faith, the latter being the fulfillment of the first). As all other false religions, it can appear as a lamb, while speaking as a dragon (with lies) in order to deceive. Satan’s purpose is to get Christians walking in the counsel of the ungodly and standing in the path of sinners, that he might ensnare them and destroy their gospel witness. Has God really said we mustn’t have fellowship with the works of darkness, or yoke with unbelievers? (Eph. 5:11; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 2 Jn. 10-11) Yes, He has, and He means what He says.

Michael Hoffman offers us the reason why apostate Christian leaders call upon us to blend Christianity with the leaven of modern Judaism–

That Christ and His Gospel are betrayed by those who declare an alleged “JudeoChristian” tradition, is of no discernible concern to the ministers, popes and pundits thus engaged. They are Jewish Pharisees in all but name, engaged in the standard modern apologetic misinterpretation of Judaism [claiming it is benign or Biblical], out of “fear of the Jews” and a need to ingratiate themselves with the “god of this world.”(KL 1933-1936).

Summary:

Judaism is not the faith of the Old Testament, nor does it hold the first five books of the Bible as authoritative, except and unless they are interpreted through the lens of Pharisaic traditions/changes/deletions/nullifications, etc.

The Oral traditions of the Pharisees–which were additions to God’s Word, and therefore cursed–were written down as the Mishna, which became the first part of the Talmud. To the Talmud, followers of Judaism have added volume upon volume of writings, including the deeply occultic Kabbalah. These evil books, written in defiance against Yahweh and His Messiah Jesus, have come to be known as Torah to Judaics.  Most Gentiles equate the Torah with the Pentateuch, but this is not what is meant by Torah in Judaism.

First Century Christians, many of whom were Jews according to the flesh, taught that Christianity was a continuation and fulfillment of the Old Testament pure faith of Abraham. Those who rejected Jesus–in favor of the false religion of Judaism–were cut off from that one-and-only true faith and its promises.

Gentiles Included in Old Testament Israel

Posted by israeliteindeed on August 8, 2016

Introduction

This paper will show biblically that Old Testament Israel was a body of believers in the true God, a called out “congregation,” who were not all of one race. To remain in the Body of Israel required obedience to the covenant, and any “stranger” (Gentile) who did so, was considered as “native born” and granted full privileges, including marrying into Israelite families and receiving an inheritance.

The Promise to Abraham–All the Families of the Earth Shall Be Blessed

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen. 12:1-3)

Specific Gentiles in the Old Testament shown to be true worshipers of God and/or included in Israel:

Melchizedek was called “Priest of God Most High,” although he was the king of Salem, a Canaanite. (Gen. 14:18)

Abimelech, the king of Gerar, called God “Lord” and pleaded for his “righteous nation,” vouching for his own integrity in having taken Sarah, not knowing she was already married. God confirmed the man’s integrity and kept him from sinning. God gave further instructions to Abimelech, which he carried out obediently. (Gen. 20)

When Moses led the people out of Egypt, a mixed multitude went with them also (Exo. 12:38). Who was this mixed multitude?–Egyptians, and perhaps other nationalities who had been dwelling in Egypt, who now feared the Lord and joined themselves to Israel! As God-fearing people, they were included from that point on. They married into the family of Israel and their descendants were eventually given a portion of the Promised Land with everyone else.

Moses married Zipporah, the daughter of the priest of Midian, Jethro. Zipporah and her father were both Gentiles. Zipporah was resistant to the ordinance of circumcision at first, and for this reason, God almost killed Moses! But she did obey God, and He let Moses go (Exo. 4:24-26). Later her father Jethro confessed that Yahweh was greater than all other gods, and offered sacrifices to Him. He ate with the leaders of Israel “before God” in full fellowship with God’s people. (Exo. 18:7-12)

The Canaanite Rahab confessed the God of Israel was the Lord and gave aid to the spies (Josh. 2). She married into the family of Israel and was in the direct line of Jesus Himself (Matt. 1:5). (With such Gentile inclusion, the idea of a “pure race” of Israel after the flesh must be ruled out.)

Ruth the Moabite married an Israelite, and after his death, she joined herself to Israel and the Lord by declaring, “Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.” (Ruth 1:16) She then married another Israelite Boaz, and became the grandmother of Israel’s renowned king David, from whose line Jesus came. Were David and Jesus “pure” in race?

There were whole Gentile nations who were submitted to David while his own son Absalom was in full rebellion against him, including the Cherethites, Pelethites, and Gittites (2 Sam. 15:18). The Cherethites were Cretans who lived among the Philistines, and the Pelethites were most likely related to the Philistines. The Gittites–“men of Gath”–were Philistines. These are a picture of the Gentiles who in the future would submit to King Jesus (who now sits on David’s throne), while some of His own family would remain in rebellion.

Of David’s close band of mighty men, some were Gentiles. Ittai the Gittite was David’s commander of the Gittites, and called a “foreigner,” yet he determined to be with his king wherever he would go (Read 2 Sam. 15:19-21. Recall Rev. 14:4–“These…follow the Lamb wherever He goes.“) Uriah (the husband of Bathsheba) was a Hittite faithful to David, as was Ahimelech (I Sam. 26:6). Ithmah was a Moabite, and Zelek was an Ammonite (I Chron. 11:46, 49).

After Esther was used to save her people from the evil plot of Haman, Scripture records that “many of the people of the land became Jews.” (Esther 8:17)  Became Jews?!  But we are told Jewishness is a racial thing?  Not according to Scripture, and Paul later confirmed that anyone with a circumcised heart to the Lord is a Jew in God’s eyes (Rom. 2:28-29).

Peoples God Was Dealing with in the Old Testament:

When God prepared to take Israel out of Egypt, He told Pharoah that His purposes were these:

1. That Egypt might know there is no one like Him in all the earth (Exo. 9:14)
2. That God’s name might be declared in ALL the earth (Exo. 9:16)

God’s heart was to save not only Egypt, but all the earth! I could end this section here, since “all the earth” includes every nation. The prophets gave warnings to surrounding nations of Israel, not just Israel. God wanted to save them all!  This perfectly coincides with the promise given to Abraham in order that “all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” As stated previously, a mixed multitude followed Israel out of Egypt. Gentiles have been “going up to Zion” to worship the true God since the beginning (Isa. 2:3).

The book of Jonah tells the story of God’s love for Nineveh, a Gentile nation. Israel was “chosen” for the good of all the world, just as any Christian today is “chosen” for the good of the world, not for the good of himself only. Therefore God sent the Israelite prophet to warn a Gentile city to repent. Thus Jonah is sometimes called “the first apostle to the Gentiles.” The city was spared from judgment for a time because its king and people repented. I think it safe to assume, or at least hope, that some people in Nineveh remained true to the Lord after that, although the city was destroyed in a future generation for returning to its wickedness.

The book of Daniel records the story of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar, who, after being thoroughly humbled by God, magnified the Lord and His eternal Kingdom in Daniel 4:34-37. God was still trying to reach the Babylonians in Daniel 5, when He wrote a warning on the wall and slew Belshazzar for not turning to God although he knew better because of God’s previous dealings with Nebuchadnezzar.

Isaiah prophesied of a time when a portion of Egypt would “speak the language of Canaan and swear by the Lord of hosts,” and have an altar to the Lord in its midst. Assyria also would join with Egyptians in worshiping the Lord, and the Lord would say, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” (Isa. 19:16-26)

There are many more portions of Scripture in the Old Testament that declare God’s heart for all people, and intent to gather people from all nations into His congregation (Israel), but these will suffice.

Laws and directives for “strangers” (Gentiles) who were part of Old Testament Israel:

Directly after the Exodus from Egypt, God gave laws to Israel concerning the Passover feast. And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and HE SHALL BE AS A NATIVE OF THE LAND. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. (Exodus 12:48) Notice that the stranger was to be counted as a native of the land, so long as he participated in the true worship of God. (See also Num. 9:14)

And if a stranger dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do. One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you,an ordinance forever throughout your generations; AS YOU ARE, SO SHALL THE STRANGER BE before the Lord. (Num. 15:14-15) Do you see that?–No difference between the stranger and the native born. (Paul later asked, “Is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.” Rom. 3:29)

And whatever man of the house of Israel, OR OF THE STRANGERS WHO DWELL AMONG YOU, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. (Lev. 17:10) If a stranger dwelling among the Israelites ate blood, he would be cut off from “his people”–Israel. The stranger (Gentile) was considered an Israelite with full rights and responsibilities unless he broke covenant with God.

In giving rules for the Feast of Weeks, the Lord commanded, “You shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite who is within your gates, the STRANGER and the fatherless and the widow who are among you, at the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide.” (Deut. 16:11)

And Moses commanded them, saying: “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release, at the Feast of Tabernacles, when ALL ISRAEL comes to appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, AND THE STRANGER WHO IS WITHIN YOUR GATES, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess. (Deut. 31:10-13)   Notice that the stranger living within Israel’s gates is considered part of the ALL ISRAEL, and was to continue obeying the Law when he later possessed the land.

The next passage makes it clear that Gentiles were given land among the tribes of Israel, and were considered as “native-born.”–Thus you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.  It shall be that you will divide it by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, AND FOR THE STRANGERS WHO DWELL AMONG YOU AND BEAR CHILDREN AMONG YOU. THEY SHALL BE TO YOU AS NATIVE-BORN AMONG THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL; THEY SHALL HAVE AN INHERITANCE WITH YOU AMONG THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL. And it shall be that in whatever tribe the stranger dwells, there you shall give him his inheritance,” says the Lord God. (Ezek. 47:21-23)

The prophet Jeremiah wrote about how Gentiles could be established “in the midst” of God’s people Israel–And it shall be, if they will learn carefully the ways of My people, to swear by My name, ‘As the Lord lives,’ as they taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be established in the midst of My people. (Jer. 12:16)

Isaiah was equally clear–
Do not let the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord speak, saying,
“The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”; nor let the eunuch say,
“Here I am, a dry tree.” For thus says the Lord, “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose what pleases Me, and hold fast My covenant, even to them I will give in My house, and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant—even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, “Yet I will gather to him others besides those who are gathered to him.” (Isa. 56:3-8)

Let’s unpack this powerful passage:

1. Any foreigner could join himself to the Lord, and was not to say he was separate from God’s people. So long as the foreigner served God and obeyed the covenant, he would be brought to God’s holy mountain (Heb. 12:22).

2. The man that loved God, but could not conceive children (eunuch), would be given an everlasting name that would never be cut off. This is significant because it shows that possession of the Promise was not based on producing heirs who could then claim land.

3. The house of prayer was for “all nations,” and God explicitly says He will gather people from other nations “to him”–to Israel. Israel would not be a “pure race,” but a people who served God from a pure heart.

Remain in Israel, or Be Cut Off

Any person living in Israel, whether native born or a stranger, could be cut off for disobedience. To be cut off was to be no longer an Israelite. This concept is all through the Old Testament and completely obliterates any notion that being in a certain bloodline was a guarantee of benefits (just look up “cut off” in any Bible search tool, and study how may ways an Israelite could be cut off). I have written previously about this here. Israel was always a congregation of people that worshiped the true God. To depart from true worship resulted in being cut off from Israel, from God’s perspective.

Conclusion

There were always “strangers” sojourning with Israel, and they were accepted as native born provided they worshiped the true God with obedient faith. Israel was not a “pure race” of people according to the flesh, even in the Old Testament. Some of the included Gentiles were purposely mentioned in the genealogies of King David and King Jesus, demonstrating God’s masterful sidestepping of man’s desire to mix racial supremacy with religion. God did choose one faithful man (Abraham) through whom to bless the world with the fulfillment of all promises–Jesus Christ. That family, which Gentiles could and did join, was the Old Testament family of God.

With the ratifying of the New Testament in Jesus’ blood, and the cancelling of the Old, that Old Testament family of God remained the foundation for the New Testament temple which is still being built. In Jesus, all the promises are yes and amen. All who are obedient to the terms of the New Covenant are grafted into the Israel of God. All people–whether Jew or Gentile–who disobey the terms of the New Covenant, are cut off from the Israel of God until such a time as they stop continuing in unbelief (Rom. 11:23).

God bless you as you seek the Truth!

Justifying the Wicked & Condemning the Just

Posted by israeliteindeed on September 14, 2015

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord. (Prov. 17:15)

They gather together against the life of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. (Psa. 94:21)

Recently, someone commented on my post, A Little Child Shall Lead Them, that the little Arab girl is not a Christian. You can read the comments on that post to see my response. I sure am thankful that our God sees the thoughts and motives of our hearts, and knows those who are His irrespective of others’ opinions.

People take sides on all kinds of issues, but the only “side” that matters is God’s side. All have sinned, and all can be saved through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ–not through superior knowledge, not through race or bloodline, not by speaking the language the experts demand we speak, not because our grandparents were saved, not because we have good attendance at church, not because we belong to a so-called “Christian country” as opposed to some other country, and not because we agree with the “orthodox” doctrine about a subject.

God is higher than “orthodoxy.” Orthodoxy is only the judgment of some majority, somewhere at some point in history (and how often is the majority correct?) Sometimes our favored “orthodoxy” is heresy, only we are too blinded by the apostate times we live in–and the apostasy of our own hearts– to see it.

Nationalism and it’s promotion and justification of violence is the darling of our contemporary churches, but it is nothing but heresy if you dare to believe the New Testament. These churches have very little in common with the early Church, but they are so satisfied with the crumbs this world tosses them in payment for their spiritual whoredom, they cannot see their own blindness and nakedness.

When God looks down upon His earth, He doesn’t see Christian countries and Muslim countries. He doesn’t drape Himself in one flag and burn the other flag. He doesn’t memorialize paid killers in His Book of Life, even if they claim with a thousand tongues to do Him service and engrave Bible verses on their weapons. He sees multiplied countries at war with Him and others (Psalm 2) because they are lost and do not know God. But His Word has not and will not return to Him void. His Word is being received and obeyed by a minority from every nation (Matt. 8:10-12). These are the blessed who sit with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of heaven.

I’m sorry to inform those who love America and Israel more than they love God, that heaven will contain Arab people. Some of those Arabs may have even practiced radical Islam before they were born again. If you think this disqualifies them from the offer of salvation, you do not yet understand the gospel.

Let us be careful to have the mind of Christ on this matter. Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight. (Prov. 11:1) When we weigh others by our man-made rules (including nationalistic ideals or media-induced prejudices) rather than by what is written, we are using a dishonest scale. What people group did the apostles write off as not worth their time? It is not God’s will for any Muslim to perish, but that each one would confess and forsake his sins and turn from false gods to Jesus Christ. This hope for the Arab is the same hope for the Jew or the Englishman or any other person. There is only one way into the Kingdom, and as One New Man, we who enter worship the Lamb together.

As a friend of mine recently said, “Muslims are not the enemy. They are the mission field.” Only a Kingdom Christian can say this with conviction! Oh, that we would grow up in Christ and be Christ to these people! Rather than sitting so piously in our rich homes blindly discussing our nation’s moral superiority to others. Our nation savagely dismembers thousands of innocent children daily, while looking to lying politicians to save us from savages. What hypocrisy! Do you want to know your enemy, America? Your enemy is YOU.

If America is to be judged by radical Islam, and that is possible (though I hope it won’t happen), it will be the righteous judgment of God. We’ve spent billions of dollars and shed countless gallons of human blood to “defend” our territory, trusting the arm of the flesh to give us a very transient happiness while others suffer. If Christians want to be the Church they are called to be, they will have to find the courage and love-for-all-men that the early church had. They will have to stop hoarding up the moldy treasures of earth, and begin to invest in the people for whom Christ died. They will have to understand the Kingdom of God and truly enter into it, once for all, dying to this present world. They will have to stop judging by appearances and begin to judge righteous judgment.

All people outside of Jesus Christ are condemned already (and need the gospel). Even if they speak English (or Hebrew) and are considered heroes. All people inside of Jesus Christ are justified. Even if they are Arab and speak Arabic.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isa. 5:20)

Father Abraham Had Many Sons (And I am One of Them)

Posted by israeliteindeed on August 4, 2015

I have previously written on The Works of Abraham here, which contends that Abraham’s children are determined by their works, not by their bloodline.

Here is another passage of Scripture that confirms this truth–Romans 4:9-13:

9 Does this blessedness (justification) then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.

10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,

12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.

13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Several points from this passage:

1. Paul reminds us that Abraham was justified (i.e. saved) before being circumcised, circumcision being a mere sign of that which he already possessed (vss. 9-11).

2. Abraham is the father of “all those who believe” whether they are circumcised or not (vss 11-12). Circumcision for the Jews of Paul’s time was considered a sign that a person had embraced the God of Abraham (i.e. become a Jew). However as Paul had already pointed out in Rom. 2:25-29, it is the inward heart condition that God looks at. Many who had circumcised flesh were rejected by God for their lawless deeds, while others who had uncircumcised flesh were accepted by God by virtue of their circumcised hearts.

3. Abraham is the father of the circumcised (i.e. Jews) ONLY if they “also walk in the steps of faith which…Abraham had while still uncircumcised.” (vs. 12) This is so important, and so misunderstood today!  As Jesus also said, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.” (Jn. 8:39) In other words, if a man is circumcised and/or follows the laws of the Jews, but doesn’t walk in the steps of Abraham (obedient faith), he has no right to call Abraham his father.

4. The promise to Abraham and his Seed comes through the righteousness of faith, not through the law (vs. 13). The law here mentioned is referring to laws that pertained to the Hebrews and/or Jews, especially the law of circumcision. The point is this:  the promise of salvation is not obtained by being born a Jew, or by becoming/living as a Jew. The promise is obtained only by faith. This allows people from every nation to obtain the promise, and allowed Abraham to become “the father of many nations.”

5. The spiritual promise to Abraham was not that he would be heir of a small piece of land, but “heir of the world” (vs. 13). This is why Abraham was able to dwell in the land of promise “as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents” and waiting for the city “which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Heb. 11:9-10) There are many who claim to be Abraham’s children who now fight over a small piece of land as if this dying earth were going to last forever. They are not waiting for the heavenly city, but zealously contending for an earthly city which Scripture calls “Sodom and Egypt” spiritually (Rev. 11:8). These are not doing the works of Abraham; thus they are not his children.

Those Who Are of Faith are Sons of Abraham

Posted by israeliteindeed on March 18, 2015

If we don’t believe what Paul has written, we are denying the truth of Scripture and rejecting the words of God (I Thess. 4:8).

Most Christians say they believe the whole Bible, but they approach certain passages with blinders on. This is admittedly easy to do after years and years of false indoctrination by the apostate church! Yet God will teach us if we are teachable. It is very important that we interpret the Old Testament in the greater light of the New Testament, just as Paul did. This is not to say that the Old Testament is invalid (Paul used it continually in his preaching), but only that Truth has been more fully manifested in the New.

With this necessary introduction, let us look at Galatians 3, written by Paul the Apostle to Gentile Christians who were being led astray by Judaizers.

From this short text, I will highlight 3 important points.

Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. (6-9)

>>>1. ONLY those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. ONLY. Do you believe this? Or do you think that people born of the fleshly line of Abraham are sons of Abraham too?

Do we need another witness? Here is one–

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matt. 3:8-10) This was John the Baptist speaking to a Jewish audience. He told them not to even think Abraham was their father unless they repented of their evil!

And here is another–

They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father [the devil].” (John 8:39-41) Jesus agrees with Paul and John the Baptist (or rather, they agree with Him!) Only those who do righteous deeds can be considered Abraham’s children.

>>>2. The GOSPEL was preached to Abraham in these words, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” This wasn’t just some earthly “I’m going to give you land and a family.” This was the gospel of Jesus Christ being preached, which has been preached since the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:15) This promise also foresaw that the Gentiles would be grafted in. To be sure, many Jews over the years have been blinded to the gospel (2 Cor. 3:14-16), and so they have used the Old Testament to stake an earthly claim (Abraham did not do this–Heb. 11:9-16; the early Jewish Christians did not do this–Acts 4:34-35). What is even more unfortunate is that professing Christians have been just as blind to the gospel which was preached to Abraham, and have sought to “help” Jews focus on what is earthly rather than what is spiritual. They have become a hindrance to the truth, and a hindrance to all people.

>>>3. Those who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Only those who are of faith! It can’t get any clearer, friends. These, and these alone, inherit the promises given to Abraham.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus called Nathaniel “an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit”? (John 1:47) Nathaniel was born a Jew and lived in Israel. Didn’t that make him an automatic Israelite? Jesus seemed to be differentiating between an Israelite in name only, and an Israelite INDEED. Nathaniel’s identifying characteristic was that he was an honest man, and his deeds matched his profession to be a member of God’s people. While Jesus called Nathaniel an Israelite indeed, He told other Jews that Abraham was not their father!

Think about this, pray about this, and ask the Lord to help you read the Old Testament without the veil which many have gladly accepted from Judaizers. It is my heart’s desire that all Jews and Gentiles repent of their sins and be willingly grafted into the only Vine that will remain in the end.

God bless you!

The Field is the World; The Field is not the Church

Posted by israeliteindeed on March 12, 2015

How many times have you heard someone say concerning the overwhelming deluge of sin in the Church, “Well, there are wheat and tares in the Church, and God will figure it out in the end.”

Are we really supposed to turn a blind eye to a mixture of wheat and tares in the Church?

Look carefully at Jesus’ explanation of the wheat and tares parable–

“He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. ***The field is the world***, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Matt. 13:47-43)

Vs. 38 is very explicit–according to Jesus, the field is THE WORLD. (Not the Church!)

That means the WORLD is presently filled with wheat and tares dwelling together. The wheat (believers) are also called “the light of the world” and “the salt of the earth” elsewhere in Scripture. They are purposely dispersed among the tares so as to witness to them and convert as many as possible to wheat. Both will be harvested at the end, the harvest signifying the end of all earthly life as we know it, when there is no more chance for anyone to repent. The wheat will be gathered safely, but the tares will be thrown out of the Kingdom of God and into the furnace of fire. This is very important–Jesus was not describing a mixture of righteous and evil people in the Church, but a mixture of righteous and evil people in the World.

Furthermore, we need to pay attention to the parable itself, which included a directive to not harm the tares (in the world) lest the wheat also be harmed–

The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them (the tares) up?’ (Matt. 13:28)

What would “gathering the tares up” do? It would kill them. To pull a plant out of the ground is to end its earthly life. The servants of God were asking if they should eradicate the wicked from among the righteous in the world.

But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matt. 13:29-30)

The righteous servants of God are not to go and gather out of the WORLD (the field) those who appear to be tares. We are to let them grow. This is yet another passage that flies in the face of “just war” for Christians. We are to preach the gospel to the tares, of course, in the hopes that they repent and are converted to wheat. But we are not to remove them from the ground (kill them!) This premature separation of wheat and tares could harm some of the wheat. There are several ways this could happen, but I will mention one that sticks out to me.

We have many warmongering “Christians” among us in the West (who apparently don’t think Jesus’ commands are meant to be obeyed) who are gung-ho to eradicate certain plots of tares. I have even heard some say that violently removing these whole groups of people from the earth is an act of mercy and kindness to the rest of us. Of course they attempt to justify this with bits and pieces of Old Covenant Scripture while ignoring or sidestepping many New Testament commands. This attitude is nothing more than Dark Ages crusaderism, and is not Christian in the slightest. What happens when these “tares” are removed from the world by professing “Christians”? Real wheat is also hurt. Those who might otherwise become Christians are repulsed by this fake form of Christianity. Some real Christians who dwell among “the tares” are damaged or destroyed along with them. (A case in point that is always on my heart is the Palestinian Christians who suffer along with their Muslim neighbors from the misguided zeal of zionists who send money to help steal their land and oppress them.)

Another danger that springs from believing the field is the Church–and I alluded to this in the beginning, is the turning of blind eyes to sin in the Church. We have already established that Jesus never said “the field is the Church,” but instead “the field is the WORLD.” Jesus never, ever taught that His spotless Bride was a mix of good and evil people! His Church is only those people whose works back up their profession in obedience to Christ. The New Testament is clear that sin in the gathering of believers must be dealt with. We see in the story of Ananias and Sapphira that God, through Peter, dealt swiftly and decisively with deceivers. Paul also taught that we are not to even eat with someone who claims to be a Christian yet walks in obvious sin. We are instead to “put away from ourselves the evil person” and have no fellowship with the wicked (I Cor. 5; 2 Cor. 6:14-15; Eph. 5:11).

In summary, real Christians live in a WORLD that is filled with believers and unbelievers (wheat and tares.) We are to preach the gospel to the tares, that they may repent and be converted; but we are not to uproot the tares lest our brethren (wheat) also be harmed. The Church is the Body of saints/believers sprinkled throughout the earth, and is always called to be entirely holy. Obvious sin in any local assembly needs to be reproved. Those who refuse to repent should be separated from in order to encourage their repentance, and to stop leaven from spreading. We Christians need to stop appealing to the parable of the wheat and tares to excuse our refusal to deal with the sin in our assemblies. To do so is a misuse of Scripture, for Jesus said very plainly, “The field is the world.”

God bless you!

Two Kingdoms

Posted by israeliteindeed on December 21, 2014

The following was written by my friend Steve Thomas, and is posted here with his permission.

The Bible Describes TWO KINGDOMS – We each belong, individually, to one, or the other:

1.) The Kingdom of Heaven & God (in and amongst the disciples of Jesus)
2.) The Power of Darkness (operating in the ‘children of disobedience’).
.
Many proponents of Christian Zionism & Messianic Judaism would have us believe the primary distinction on the earth, is between Israel and the nations – Jews and Gentiles – as it was under the Old Covenant. It seems many are living according to the terms of the former covenant still (which is a bit embarrassing if not fatal) as it has been displaced (by God!) – replaced with the New Covenant, 1984 years ago.)
.
Jesus came to lift humanity from the flesh (fallen & mortal) to the spirit (righteous & eternal in Christ). Opponents, some operating in an antichrist spirit, tend to demean anything that (as they say) ‘spiritualizes’ the physical. They complain when Christians ‘spiritualize the promises’. By this, it is usually meant, allegorizing, or making into an imaginary thing or an unreal thing. And normally, in a bid to defend the political / military / cultural restoration of Israel as the center-piece of God’s (alleged) intentions today.

But the work of God is done in the Spirit, by His Spirit, in union with the born again spirits of regenerated saints of God. God *is* a Spirit. Those who worship him must do so in Spirit and truth – not now in the mountain of Zion on earth, nor in the derelict & non-existent remains of the former stone temple. Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God – but only those who have been born of the Spirit – born again in the image of the heavenly man – Jesus Christ, (not the earthy man – the ‘first Adam’).
.
The Apostle John described the antichrist spirit. Much is written and said about ‘the antichrist’, but in fact we have noticed there are only four references to antichrist/s in the entire Bible, in just three passages – all of them in the first two epistles of John. In a nutshell, the antichrist spirit works in tandem with human antichrists – basically anybody who denies the Deity and Lordship of Jesus Christ, or operates in another spirit contrary to the gospel and truth of Jesus.
.
Jesus knows those who are his – those who love him and talk with him, and draw off his wisdom, living in his Spirit, in communion with him in their regenerated spirits, in reverence for God. These are the ‘chosen people’ of God – his own children – those who walk now after the Spirit, not after the flesh – not according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.
.
John the Baptist was very clear in his warnings to Israelites and Judeans, (and anyone who would listen) to not even say within themselves that they had Abraham as their father. The very thing that many today in the CZ / MJ movement are placing at *top priority* – John, the greatest prophet of the Old Covenant (according to Jesus) – told us effectively to not even THINK! – let alone to teach it as a central and primary doctrine, defining our fellowships according to this criteria – emblazoning it across our ministry materials.
.
Faith in Jesus is the only given way to God. The only way to be his child. It is the way of the CROSS – not the way of the blue & white HEXAGRAM!
.
It is said that God is displaying his power and glory in the nation of Israel today – that this nation is his chosen vessel to honor and sanctify his name. Whereas we do not single out Israel for particular opprobrium amongst other nations of this fallen world, and whereas we maintain a positive outlook towards her citizens – holding out the hand of friendship; There is no recognition (amongst CZ/MJ groups) that any application of such statements regarding her elevated position in the eyes of God, in the bible, pertains specifically to the former nation under the old covenant, leading up to Christ. Little or no recognition is in evidence that the planned SHIFT **from Judah to Christ** occurred at his first coming (Genesis 49:10) – and now unto HIM is the gathering of the people – all people.
.
Jesus said his kingdom is *not of this world* – not from here. (I think he meant it.) He said this in Jerusalem – in front of the Roman world power of the day and the gathered Jewish leaders seeking his demise – Almost his last and final statement before his death. Thus removing all grounds from the ones who seek to establish a power structure, or physical kingdom, on this earth, in the present age (- and certainly not in his name!).
.
Two kingdoms: We each either belong to Jesus, or to Satan. God, or the devil. The way to tell, is to ask somebody who is their Lord – their God. Who do they worship? Who/what do they live for? [and, what do they primarily focus on in conversation, private reading, viewing, conference attendance etc?] If they say Jesus Christ, (in public,) chances are they belong to the Kingdom of God (if they are living for God in the secret place as well – relying on the blood of Jesus for their eternal justification before our righteous God.)
.
But Israel, as a corporate secular entity, is no way even *remotely* in submission to Jesus Christ. Thus, sadly, she is (predominantly) under the power of darkness – satan – the devil – the god of this age – the spirit of antichrist. Of course the grace of God *is* towards her, and her citizens – grace upon grace – an open way to be restored to right standing for each and every one.
.
I have managed to identify just 2 Members of the Knesset in Israel who self-declare as Christian, out of a total of 120.

=> Basel Ghattas – an Arab Christian from Rameh
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basel_Ghattas
=> Hana Sweid, an Arab Christian from near Nazareth.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hana_Sweid
.
Whereas this is a good thing – being thankful for their presence – How is Israel, in truth, especially in it’s Jewish aspect, remotely the nation of God? With zero Christian Jewish presence (as far as I can tell – please correct and I will edit without hesitation).
.
Can we imagine the entire collective of Judah returning from exile in Babylon, in complete denial of the Lord who sent them to the nations to purge them of their sins, and humble them to bring them back to himself? (which did happen as described – in fact, this the given reason for the God-defined *biblical* Diaspora.)
.
What happened to the Israelites leaving Egypt? That entire generation (except faithful Joshua & Caleb) fell in the desert, in their negation of the work of God in their midst. What has changed? Why are Christian Zionists and Christian lovers of Israel not issuing forth clear & persistent warnings to the nation they love – to not fall after the same example of disbelief? As if it matters not a jot. Preferring instead to post anti-Arab propaganda, support for militarism, technology, and Israeli political prowess. Fawning over the marvellous Bibi Netanyahu, Lieberman & co. (like they are Zerubbabel, Ezra and Jeshua…. or Moses, Joshua and Caleb)
.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His calling and drawing of men is as it always was. If God would simply convert a nation en masse, would he not have done so at Pentecost? *The gospel* was given as the power of God unto salvation – then as now. There is no indication this will change between now and the day of the Lord, at his coming in power and glory to judge the world – the living and the resurrected dead.
.
I dare to say the Christian Zionist Israel-centred paradigm is flawed in far too many places to stand up. Nobody seems to be willing to come forward to hold a decent conversation to show the veracity and clarity of the biblical foundations of this belief system against even the most moderately presented questions. Try as we might, whenever we almost embarrassingly are duty bound to expose false claims, misapplications of prophecy, the clearly mistaken context of OT statements cut and pasted over today’s nation – the protagonists generally evaporate. Delete then block. The power of deception must be very strong, as doors are bolted, and barricades erected against the biblical truth, when it is laid out with genuine respect and care and friendship.

Vengeance is Mine

Posted by israeliteindeed on December 20, 2014

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rom. 12:17-21)

When the prophet Jonah was called to go to a people–who had persecuted his own people– with a message that God would forgive them if they would repent, he was more than reluctant. Only after nearly perishing in the ocean did he agree to obey. After they repented at his preaching and received God’s mercy (chapter 3), Jonah admitted his motive for running away was that he didn’t think they deserved that mercy!

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.” (Jon. 4:1-2)

No one deserves mercy. That’s what makes mercy what it is. Jesus rebuked His disciples when they were too willing to call down fire on a town that did not receive Him (Lk. 9:51-56.) His rebuke was not a soft one; He said they were of another spirit!

There is a vengeance and a destruction that is coming–the Day of the Lord. God’s enemies will be destroyed; we can be sure of that. In fact, they are already abiding “under His wrath.” (Jn. 3:36)

But ambassadors of God’s kingdom who are sent out with the Great Commission are not sent out to bring His wrath. They are sent out with an offer of God’s mercy on the conditions of any sinner’s repentance and faith. Unfortunately, some feel like Jonah–none too keen on seeing certain subsets of humanity receive God’s mercy. Or, they would like to see those people redeemed, but only if it doesn’t cost THEM something. Sometimes, being swept up in the worldly mindset produced by patriotism, and controlled by that mind instead of the mind of Christ, they leave the ranks of God’s ambassadors and join the ranks of the world’s destroyers of men. They may destroy by firing the weapons; they may destroy by supporting those who fire the weapons.

But our instructions, if we are God’s children, are very clear in the Romans passage above. These instructions are repeated in different ways elsewhere in Scripture also. It isn’t that God’s instructions aren’t clear or abundant enough; it’s that men don’t want to obey. They’d rather run from their responsibilities because they deem other people groups too far gone to be recipients of God’s mercy.

But as God revealed His heart concerning the lost to Jonah (4:10-11), He will also reveal His heart to us, unless we are content with that “other spirit” that insists we take vengeance in our own hands. Unfortunately, many professing Christians are so taken up with the importance of their earthly country and personal safety, those perishing things trump the value of men’s souls in their eyes. They are thus easily caught up in fleshly reactions to men, rather than spiritual war with spiritual weapons against spiritual principalities.

If Jesus came in the flesh today, pitying the souls of Muslims and calling us to be willing to die for them, He would likely be cast out as an apostate by the American church.

If a false savior came passing out carnal weapons and instructions for how to take Jerusalem from the infidels, he would gain some popularity–but only among those who are first rejecting the true King’s instructions.

Jesus: the Door to the Promises

Posted by israeliteindeed on October 27, 2014

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:

“For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles,
And sing to Your name.”

And again he says:

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!”

And again:

“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles!
Laud Him, all you peoples!”

And again, Isaiah says:

“There shall be a root of Jesse;
And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles,
In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” (Rom. 15:8-12)

What promises did Jesus confirm when He became a servant to the circumcision? He confirmed the Old Testament promises. Jesus told the Jews that the Old Testament Scriptures wrote of Him, and that even Moses had written of Him (Jn. 5:39;46).

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Lk. 24:27)

Unfortunately most Jews rejected His claim, and as always occurs when we do not receive a love for the Truth, they embraced lies based on nationalism, genealogy, or ritual; and this has continued to this very day. What is even sadder is that much of the Gentile church in the west is so apostate today, she is lending her support to the works of evildoers and thinking she serves God by doing so. But whether they join hands or no, they will not inherit the promises.

Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. (Gal. 4:30)

It is in Christ that ALL the promises find their fulfillment:

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Cor. 1:20)

Now notice in the Romans 15 passage, what effect the fulfillment of the promises would have on the Gentiles. They would be rejoicing “with His people;” they would hope in Him, and they would submit to His Kingly reign along with the believing Jews. We don’t see a cutting off of all God’s Hebrew people, but instead a grafting in of Gentiles with those Hebrews who are faithful. (Same language we see in Rom. 11) Certainly, Paul does not have every single Gentile in view here, but those who are converted to Christ.

The believing Gentiles are grafted into the Olive Tree, which is God’s chosen people–a tree which was stripped of many (but thankfully not all) Jewish branches due to their unbelief (Rom. 11:17-24). (This is not the first time the Olive Tree was pruned; see also Jer. 11:1-17 for an earlier time. One can also see the death of the first generation of Israelites in the wilderness as a pruning, as well as smaller judgments which swallowed up particular families, etc. We must endure to the end to remain in the Olive Tree.)

The Olive Tree is a picture of God’s kingdom.

How can a kingdom (the Israel of God) be made of people from all over the earth?! Christ’s kingdom is within every believer, and is not something that can be observed in this carnal realm or advanced through carnal means (Lk. 17:20-21). But oh, how the carnal man rankles at this teaching, always seeking to set up something that satisfies the lust of his eyes and flesh, and his pride of life.

Herein is the mystery of God revealed, and how the Israel of God shall be populated with the saved–by faith. God’s Kingdom is the Israel of God, and it is not of this world. Away with these lies that keep repeating that His kingdom is of this world! Away with these foolish statements that we must strengthen the hands of evildoers to be blessed! (“We must bless the modern earthly state of Israel to be blessed”=satanic lie.) To enter the kingdom which Jesus came preaching, and to be blessed, every man is commanded to repent of sin and believe upon Christ. When he does so, he becomes an heir with Jesus of the promises.

There is NO PHYSICAL JEW OR GENTILE in Christ! The flesh profits nothing–absolutely nothing. In Christ and His kingdom, there are only “True Jews” and “Israelites In-Deed” who have entered the kingdom of God by loving and submitting to its King (Rom. 2:28-29; Jn. 1:47). He is the only Door to the Promises.

Most Moral Army in the World?

Posted by israeliteindeed on September 29, 2014

Let me just say that I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “moral army” when we are talking about carnal armies who are fighting for carnal ambitions. Yes, we have an Old Covenant precedent for there being one moral army at one time which answered directly to the King of the universe–He whose judgments concerning nations could not be wrong. But that nation proved itself sinful like all others and the Old Covenant is now obsolete. The New Covenant is in place forever. God’s people have come to Jesus and are seeking to obey all His teachings, including the Sermon on the Mount. Anyone who is not doing this is not truly moral. I venture to say that wherever there is a carnal army, you are going to find it rife with immorality of all kinds. Many ex-soldiers admit this.

This is not an attack against a particular nation (in this case, Israel.) But what is called “the most moral army in the world” is not moral. Christians–of all people–should be able to see through such wildly inaccurate nationalistic flattery because we have the more sure Word of God which condemns all men under sin until they have individually repented and obediently believed upon Jesus. The relative morality of nations is largely pure self-righteousness. Men judge themselves by other men and call themselves “more moral.” Americans do this too, and I assume that Muslim, Communist, Hindu or pagan nations also have their self-assurances that their causes are more just, their ways more moral than the ways of others. I have heard since I was a child how America is so good, and even now with obvious corruption rampant across this sinking nation, I keep hearing that we are better than any number of other nations. I’m sorry, but I can’t call a nation “good” or even “better” that murders innocent children out of pure convenience, seeks wealth and happiness at the expense of others, adopts deviant sexuality, promotes nudity and satanism and drug abuse and false religion and……..Honestly, need I go on?

As I watched this video, I wept for the corruption of these precious girls’ souls. Notice their consciences troubled them in the beginning. But they made choices day after day to just ignore the injustices, to hide the sin, to fit in with the crowd. Because after all, when you are in an army, you are sort of in a legal “gang”–and the gang is your family. If you let them down, you are now alone. That’s a hard place to be in, when it comes time to make moral choices. Notice how guilt plagues these women, how one says she can’t get the blood off her hands, how another says something evil inside her makes her afraid, and how another drinks to try to forget the memories of her own actions. These women desperately need Jesus! They don’t need someone assuring them that they were part of the most moral army on earth, and that they did a fine job. They really do have blood on their hands, and they really have committed evil deeds. They need someone to agree with them that what they did was against God and their neighbor, but lovingly point them to the only Savior who can give them clean hands and a pure heart after so much defilement. May they sorrow to repentance and find mercy in Jesus Christ!

If you’d like to hear more testimonies from ex IDF soldiers, please watch the videos at Breaking the Silence. There are also many textual testimonies to read there. See also the testimony of Israeli Eran Efrati here, and the testimony of Miko Peled, author of The General’s Son, here.
