Children of Abraham

Amen! It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.

When I was a child, I used to sing a song called, “Father Abraham.”

“Father Abraham had many sons.
How many sons had Father Abraham?
And I am one of them, and so are you.
So let’s just praise the Lord!
Right arm…”

Whoever wrote this little song understood the precious reality of God’s spiritual, called out, set apart people, who are all one family. May God give us grace to step out of the darkness of false teachings and into His glorious truths.

Who are God’s people?  Who are the children of Abraham?

God has a people. He always did. These children of Abraham follow Him, obey Him, and have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. They hear the Words of the Bridegroom and have accepted the call to the Marriage Supper. They eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ in the NEW Covenant, knowing that the Old is “done away.” 2 Cor 3:7-16. They understand that all must come through the Door – Jesus, in order to be saved and do not accept that there is one path for them and another path for others.

I am the way, the truth, and the life,
no man comes to the Father, but by me.
